Manchester United have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Benfica right-back Nelson Semedo, according to reports.
Semedo has been linked with the Premier League giants for some time now and it is believed that the two clubs are negotiating over a potential summer move.
Portuguese media outlet Notícias ao Minuto claims that the Red Devils would be willing to pay £35million for the defender and that both clubs are ready to do business.
Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira was understood to be reluctant to lose him this season as they are currently involved in a title race and Semedo has appeared more than any other player for the club this campaign.
The 23-year-old currently has one cap for Portugal and made his breakthrough season for the Benfica first-team last term, making 12 league appearances.
